Application of external fixation apparatus for surgical treatment of congenital brachymetacarpia of the 5th ray of the hand, brachydactyly of the 1st and 5th rays of the hand

Patient A., 15 years old, no previous treatment
Diagnosis: Congenital deformity of both hands, brachymetacarpia of the 5th ray of the hand, brachydactyly of the 1st and 5th rays of the hand
Surgery: Osteotomy of the distal phalanx of the 1st finger and 5th metacarpal bone for lengthening, osteosynthesis with the Ilizarov mini-apparatus of the 1st and 5th rays of the left hand.
Evaluation of the result: conditions were created to improve the anatomical and functional state of the left hand by lengthening the distal phalanx of the 1st finger and the 5th metacarpal bone.
